Pandemic Flu?

Good to see the homoeopaths helping with a cure for Pandemic flu.

"At present we do not have a nosode, i.e.a remedy made from the disease material. However, we do have existing remedies which have been used successfully over many years to treat all stages of flu. These are effective and safe for everyone from babies to the elderly.
Our advice regarding Swine flu is that your best protection against disease comes from looking after your health generally and taking simple common-sense preventative measures. There are a number of vitamin and mineral supplements and herbal remedies that will help to boost the immune system. These can be viewed on our website Home Page, select Newsletters, then WINTER ALERT for more information."

"At present" suggests that research is being carried out. How does that work? Do they need to find something that makes your nose run and eyes hurt? How about a ridiculously dilute onion tincture. Hey, right first time, I'm good at this.
Nice to see the old "boost the immune system" chestnut being promoted again too. I have a pile of Tamiflu, I think I wil stick with that.

What about putting a little stinging nettles on the outside of nares? (histamin release) What about sniffing metformin straight out of the bottle? (dizziness) What about huffing a little car exhaust? (respiratory symptoms) Hmm, let's see, what about running several miles in pouring rain (to contract a flu or soggy illness)? (run over feeling of exhaustion) What about scarfing down a rich custard pie? (stomach ache) Heyyy, Mr. Hunny Bun you may be on to something with this homeopathy dog and pony show, though it might be difficult to argue that the Queen has employed the services of her own homeopathic prescriber, but then, someone over in Russia got in a lot of trouble with hemophiliacs and Rasputin.

This is really a well laid out website. I like how you have presented the information in full detail. Keep up the great work and please stop by my site sometime. The url is http://healthy-nutrition-facts.blogspot.com

Surely the good Dr. Jacobson is attempting to pull the wool over one's eyes? Hoodia? Lycopene for hypertension? Let's get real...where did the medical degree come from? The top of a box of nutritious muesli?

Yes we do have remedies that treat flu...but about it being successful well I'd say that is pretty much debatable..it is succesful in easing the time it needs for the flu to pass...easing the pain that is...lowering the body temperature...but basically we still have no cure for the flu..we can treat it but we still can't cure it...
