Okay, so does anybody know any famous pharmacists, either real-life, or fictional? (Not including those like Jesse Boot and Allen Lloyd who are famous mainly for setting up pharmacy chains-that's just boring!)
- Ned Flanders- Homer Simpson's neighbour. I have many colleagues who remind me of Ned.
- Isaac Newton- Served as an apprentice in an apothecary shop in Woolsthorpe. He lived at the shop and for a short time was even engaged to the shop owner's daughter.
- Henrik Ibsen- Playwright, In 1844, at the age of 16, he became an apprentice in the coastal town of Grimstad. He worked as an assistant pharmacist until 1850.
- John Pemberton (1831 - 1888), Inventor of the soft drink Coca-Cola.
- Caleb Bradham (1866 - 1934), Invented the soft drink Pepsi-cola.
- Hubert Humphrey (1911 - 1978), Pharmacist and 38th Vice President of the United States

A fictional character who is a pharmacist is George Williams. He's the pharmacist for one of the wives on ABC's "Desperate Housewives". He's obsessed with on one of the wives on the show and kills her husband by giving him placebos instead of his real medication.
The unattractive ginger fella from Family Guy who is an object of scorn and derision. Not at all like real life then.
Geraint Jones was a technician, I think.

Mort Goldman is the character name of the pharmacist on family guy :-)
